Beabadoobee has released Memories, the third single to be taken from her hugely anticipated forthcoming album Pylon, to be released on 18 September via Dirty Hit and Interscope Records.
Bea describes Memories as “one of the happiest songs on the album” but one where she falls deeply into a spiral of romanticising bygone moments, “clinging onto ideas that should make me happy but actually make me feel sad, because I wish they were moments that I lived in forever”.
The song is indicative of the raw and sometimes uncomfortably real songwriting on Pylon, a record that’s more wide-ranging and complex than anything that she has ever put out – a tannic rock record that is, at various points, angry, lonesome, ecstatic, depressed and deeply, pathologically in love. Bea, who poured her life into songs as a teenager, says the album is the result of writing alone in hotel rooms, which “reminded me of how I wrote songs at 17, alone in my bedroom, feeling sad as fuck.”
Beabadoobee recently gave Memories its live debut during a short run of US shows that included her performance at Lollapalooza festival and a headline show at the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre.
Beabadoobee returns to North America in October to kick off The Powerlines Tour, her first ever headline arena shows and her biggest tour to date, taking in shows across the continent as well as the UK and Europe this autumn and winter, including performances at Madison Square Garden, The Kia Forum, London O2 Arena and many more. UK dates as follows:
NOVEMBER
Sat 14 GLASGOW OVO Hydro
Mon 16 CARDIFF Utilita Arena
Tue 17 MANCHESTER AO Arena
Wed 18 LONDON O2 Arena

The follow up to her UK #1 album This Is How Tomorrow Moves, Pylon is available to pre-order now.
