With Christmas just around the corner, we thought we would bring you all the latest festive releases.

1. Olivia Lane Ushers In the Holiday Spirit with ‘Feeling Like Christmas’

The uncertainty of this chaotic year couldn’t keep Olivia Lane from “Feeling Like Christmas.” The sanguine, soulful country songwriter releases her first original holiday song. “Amidst the hectic year 2020 has been, the feeling of Christmas is a light at the end of the tunnel for me,” says Olivia, who wrote the festive track with Skip Black and Matt Nolen. “I’ve been wanting to write an original Christmas song for a while now, so I guess I have to thank 2020 because I had the time to dive into achieving that. Christmas is my favorite time of year and this song truly reflects all of my over the top joyful feelings.”

The inspiring “Living Instead” podcast host (now in its second season), is anticipating a bright 2021, even hinting at a new album. Keep up with Olivia Lane via her “Liv It Update” newsletter, and see why her Instagram reels have garnered millions of views.

2. Chilly Gonzales releveals ‘Snow Is Falling In Manhattan’ feat Jarvis Cocker

Chilly Gonzales today reveals a stunning rendition of Purple Mountains’ ‘Snow Is Falling In Manhattan’ ft. Jarvis Cocker & Feist, taken from his new album A very chilly christmas. From feudal oldies to newer holiday pop canon, A very chilly christmas surveys a broad scope of seasonal repertoire and sentiment. There’s grandeur and solemnity, there’s austerity and merriment, an original featuring Feist and covers featuring Jarvis Cocker. And, of course, there’s Mariah Carey. As a whole, the album’s gift is the space it creates for quieter moments amid the flurry and noise of the season.

3. Pentatonix reveal new album ‘We Need A Little Christmas’

Three-time Grammy Award-winning and multi-platinum-selling artist Pentatonix release their sixth holiday album, We Need A Little Christmas.

The new holiday album features arrangements of classic and current holiday and seasonal favourites, including Ariana Grande’s “Santa Tell Me” and “Seasons of Love” from the Broadway musical RentWe Need a Little Christmas also features the Pentatonix original “Thank You,” which pays homage to the loved ones who’ve made this past year just a little bit brighter, the Christmastime classic, “White Christmas,” featuring Bing Crosby’s original vocals and a performance by the London Symphony, as well as the epic “Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone),” which the group released last week upon the announcement of the album. Watch the music video below!  The five previous albums from the Pentatonix holiday collection (which includes 2x platinum-selling That’s Christmas To Me) have sold over 12.5 million albums worldwide.

4. The Academic share cover of ‘Lonely This Christmas’
Irish indie rockers The Academic share their cover of Mud’s 1975 holiday single “Lonely This Christmas”: LISTEN HERE. Today, the group also announced details of a livestreamed ticketed show from Mullingar, Ireland’s The Jealous Wall on December 1. Tickets are on sale today HERE.

The curious location for the band’s hometown show, in the grounds of Belvedere House & Gardens, might look like a castle ruin on the face of it, but behind it lies a story of love, sorrow and farce that reads like a particularly unlikely Shakespearean caper. The Jealous Wall should provide a unique and special setting for the band’s first live performance since the release of their most recent EP, Acting My Age.
