Reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year Cody Johnson is releasing a brand-new song today, “Horseback.” Written by Randy Montana, Wyatt McCubbin, and Paul Sikes and produced by Trent Willmon, the single will premiere at country radio on Monday, June 15. “Horseback” is available across all digital platforms HERE.
This is the debut single off Cody’s forthcoming 16-song album, Banks Of The Trinity, set for release on June 26, 2026. The album features collaborations with Luke Combs and Brothers Osborne and is available for pre-order HERE.
“Horseback” follows Cody’s recent #1 song “The Fall,” which peaked at radio the same week he took home the coveted Entertainer of the Year and Male Artist of the Year honors at the 61st annual ACM Awards, held in Las Vegas on May 17.
Cody Johnson, who “just might be the future of real country music,” continues to live up to those expectations as his reputation and popularity grow among fans, the media, and the music industry. His career now boasts six highly successful albums, including the 2024 CMA Album of the Year, Leather.
In 2025, Cody sold an impressive 400,000 concert tickets and landed on Billboard’s Top 100 Tours list. Last year’s tour took him to exciting places like Australia, New Zealand, and Europe, and across the U.S., including two back-to-back sold-out shows at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. The Tennessean called ‘the evening’s biggest superstar’ Johnson’s voice and said, ‘As a crooner, Johnson may have one of the underrated best vocal styles in music overall. When he grounds his feet and sets his mind to it, he unleashes a stunning instrument that leaves his crowd in awe.’
