COUNTERFEIT. have just released their brand new rip-roaring single, 11:44. Led by frontman Jamie Campbell Bower’s raw and visceral vocals and blended with an urgent riff, the track is a call to arms and a hopeful anthem for the youth of today. Frontman Jamie Bower has said of 11:44, “We are facing some very real problems in the world right now and greed, corruption, ignorance and hatred are at the very forefront of them. COUNTERFEIT. have and always will be a band that shines a light on personal and societal honesty and this song is no different.

Inspired by visual artists like Jenny Holzer, songwriters like Bob Dylan and the current political and social climate we find ourselves in this song is about a feeling that me and my generation are faced with on a daily basis. We are seeing great change in these times and this song is a reminder that we must keep going and why. For without change and progression we are doomed. This is for all our people. Power to each and everyone of you. Many thanks. Jamie and COUNTERFEIT.” Listen to 11:44 here.

The 5-piece have just been added to the 2000 Trees Festival line up, where they will play The Axiom stage on Saturday 11th July. COUNTERFEIT. also recently announced that they are to support Canadian rockers Palaye Royale on the UK leg of their world tour, next month. They will kick things off at Glasgow’s Garage on 18th February, and make their way around the UK where they will play shows in Manchester, at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire, and Birmingham before wrapping things up at Bristol’s SWX on 24th February.
