David Keenan reveals video for ‘Healing’

‘A remarkable talent. Takes the baton from Van Morrison, Bob Dylan, early Bruce Springsteen and Mike Scott, and runs with it’. Sunday Times Culture

David Keenan has today revealed the Greg Purcell directed video for his track The Healing. The track is taken from his new album A Beginner’s Guide To Bravery, out now on Rubyworks. Speaking about the video, David says:

‘This video for me explores how all of who we believe ourselves to be can exist at the same time, running parallel together. Past, present and future connect and flow in non-linear movements. It explores how the different versions of self can hold up mirrors of reflection, through which we may be inspired to recognise, realize, take action and heal’.

Following an extended run of European dates supporting Hozier last year, David tours the UK again this March, including a London date at Moth Club on St Patrick’s Day. Full dates are listed below.

The much praised A Beginner’s Guide to Bravery took just a week to record at Hellfire Studios on the outskirts of Dublin, with Gavin Glass producing. David’s experiences feed into a record that is rich, ripe and romantic in its connections to the Romantics and their cherishing of intense emotion and individualism.

A Beginner’s Guide to Bravery is out now.
