Australian trio DMA’S have announced that their self-titled album will be released on 7 August via Wonderlick Entertainment / Sony Music Australia / RCA UK – Preorder / Presave HERE The band have also shared another taste of the record with the new stadium-ready single Heatin Park, with the official video, filmed across the UK and Melbourne
Speaking about their fifth album and new single, Matt Mason from DMA’S says: “Heatin Park started as an old forgotten demo banged into a new sound for us, and that collision is what gives it its feral energy. The album is called DMA’S because that’s exactly what it is and we’re keen to play it for you all.”
With its My Bloody Valentine-esque lead guitar and gritty, distorted vocals. Heatin Park is a stark contrast to March’s melodic single My Baby’s Place, which was added to full rotation on triple j and peaked at #1 Most Played and is a marker of the breadth of sound this new record covers.
Renowned for their electrifying live performances which have seen them play the world’s largest stages including Glastonbury, Coachella, Lollapalooza and Splendour in the Grass, DMA’S will bring the new album to life on their Australian headline tour later this year, kicking off in Brisbane in November before heading to Melbourne and ending with a hometown show at the iconic Sydney Opera House Forecourt. For those who missed the one-off, sold out Hills End anniversary show in Sydney in March, the band will play a special Hills End set in addition to the new tracks and some of their cult classic hits.
Following their sold out Hills End 10th anniversary UK tour in February, and prior to the Australian tour, DMA’S will return to the UK for the following dates in May:
