Doktor has been a go-to collaborator for a while, with the likes of Chase & Status, Tyga and Sigma calling on his talents, but it’s only in recent years that he’s been able to put his full focus on his solo career. That journey is set to peak as he releases his long awaited debut album ‘Dedication’ on August 27th.

The album is available to pre-order here, and is already making a big impact on key pre-order charts, hitting #6 on iTunes UK, #1 on UK Reggae, #1 R&B UK iTunes,  #1 R&B UK Amazon Music, #1 Reggae UK Amazon Music and #5 on USA Reggae.

Doktor recently previewed the album by sharing the single ‘Clean Hearted’, which featured production from Gold Up. The song closes ‘Dedication’ on a positive high, its soulful, laidback vibe affirming the importance of staying true to yourself, regardless of the challenges or criticisms that come your way. And that’s precisely what Doktor has experienced.

Doktor says, “Anyone who knows me knows how much I love music. I’ve been doing this for a while now, and it’s been a journey and a half! The album is titled ‘Dedication’ as I have remained dedicated to my craft. I’ve literally put blood, sweat, and tears into this journey – whilst embracing the highs and lows of the industry whether it be uplifting and exciting or tiring and stressful.”

Elsewhere, the ‘Dedication’ album shines with Doktor’s pure vocal gift and versatile musical approach. Whether he’s delivering party starting energy or dropping the pace with more reflective moments, Doktor excels with a forward-thinking cocktail of dancehall, reggae, island vibes and UK flavour. The album features some of his biggest tracks to date – including ‘Down For Me’, ‘Action’, ‘No Drama’ and ‘Flex N Bounce’ alongside a wealth of new material.

Featured artists include dancehall queen Spice, Smoodface, Braintear Spookie and Le Anne, while production credits come from Moses, 2Kriss, Boy Panda, Dot Inc, Prgsn, Art & Life, Tribal Kush, Gold Up and Hit Impulse.

The London-based, Jamaica-born Doktor has collaborated, performed or been praised by a who’s who of international names, including Busta Rhymes, Chase & Status, DJ Target, Jamie Rodigan, Kano, Nas, Ne-Yo, Seani B, Toddla T, Tyga and Wiley. As an entirely independent artist, his success is the result of his multifaceted skills, mixing songwriting, creativity, entrepreneurship and, of course, dedication.
