Vevo announces the release of Drax Project’s live performance of “Woke Up Late” and “All This Time.” In the space of a few years, Drax project has grown from being music students busking on the streets, into one of the most watched groups to come out of New Zealand.

The group gained a following after re-working vocal hooks of famous pop songs into saxophone licks. Their cover of Kimbra’s track, ” Goldmine,” went viral and caught the attention of an influential producer and soon they were signed to a Universal.

A combination of stellar musicianship and killer songs coupled with their incendiary live show has led them on a two year run of sold out venues as both headliners and openers. They were hand-picked by Lorde and Camila Cabello to be direct support on their tours and even broke Lorde’s record for the fastest selling club show in Auckland history, selling out in three minutes.

“Woke Up Late” originally released in 2017 before being remixed with Hailee Steinfeld earlier this year, has been deemed by Billboard as a “bubbly pop anthem.” “‘Woke Up Late’ is about wrapping your head around the adventure of the night before and ultimately deciding that you’re cool with it,” the Drax Project explains. The message clearly resonates with fans, with the track racking up over 40 million streams on Spotify alone since it’s release. Drax Project’s latest single “All This Time” is the first taste of their forthcoming debut album.

“Woke Up Late” and “All This Time” are now streaming on all platforms.
