Dylan John Thomas is quickly making waves in all the right ways. The Glaswegian singer-songwriter has developed a devoted and organic fanbase, which saw him sell-out Glasgow’s King Tut’s quicker than any other debuting Scottish artist in the venue’s history. Having been mentored by Gerry Cinnamon and supported Sam Fender, Liam Gallagher and most recently Stereophonics, ‘Fever’ follows Dylan’s self-titled debut EP which was released last autumn and includes the singles ‘Jenna’ and ‘Feel The Fire’, which are already fan favourites at his live shows. He has also landed airplay from BBC Introducing, Radio X and 6 Music, and exceeded 3.3 million streams over the course of his first six tracks.

Now Dylan John Thomas adds to his runaway rise by sharing his brand new single ‘Fever’. The song comes ahead of his biggest headline show to date at Glasgow Barrowland next week – a gig that sold-out four months in advance. ‘Fever’ is also the first track from his forthcoming second EP. ‘Fever’ possesses an immediately exuberant spark which shows why so many people are connecting with Dylan’s stellar songwriting. Dylan’s utterly authentic and distinctive voice delivers lyrics with a carefree positivity that’s in tune with the brighter summer months ahead as he sings, “If time is a healer, find me the dealer.” That joyous feel is sustained by the raw live instrumentation around him, all breezy acoustic guitar and buoyant percussive energy.

Dylan says, “Really enjoyed being back in the studio. Buzzing to get new tunes out for the summer and play them at festivals. Played ‘Fever’ a couple of times on the last tour and it was bouncing. Can’t wait to play it at the Barras next week.”

Dylan wrote ‘Fever’ and then co-produced the track with Rich Turvey (Blossoms, The Coral).

Dylan will follow the Glasgow Barrowland gig by embarking upon a summer of big festival shows which include TRSNMT (on a bill led by Lewis Capaldi and Wolf Alice) and Dundee Summer Sessions (with Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds). Expect more shows to be announced soon.
