GRAMMY-nominated British multi-instrumentalist, producer, DJ and singer-songwriter Elderbrook announces his fourth studio album, Heart on a Wire, due January 22, 2027. The ten-track album, featuring collaborations with UK artists Rules and Tourist, finds Elderbrook pushing his sound into more alternative, song-driven territory, placing his voice and songwriting at the forefront while retaining the atmospheric electronic production that has defined his work.

The album includes new single ‘Lost in the View’ (listen here) written during Elderbrook’s move from the U.K. to Los Angeles. The song captures a sense of renewal, using imagery of ocean tides, distance and finding home to evoke the feeling of moving forward and opening yourself back up to a new life.

Four years in the making, Heart on a Wire traces its beginnings to an unexpected moment at an art festival near Miami in late 2022, when Elderbrook overheard a stranger talking about wanting to reconnect with a more childlike version of herself. The idea stayed with him long after the festival, eventually inspiring an album that explores the curiosity and openness we experience the world with when we’re young, and what it means to rediscover that perspective as we grow older.

That search runs throughout the album, from ‘Staring at the Sun’, a collaboration with Rules about reconnecting with a younger version of yourself, to ‘Never Get Enough’ which explores the desire to recapture a feeling that once made life seem electric. At the album’s emotional center is the title track, where Elderbrook uses the image of a heart on a wire to explore the vulnerability of moving through the world completely open to what comes next.

Heart On A Wire comes on the heels of a major resurgence for Elderbrook’s music, with his work continuing to break into unexpected corners of popular culture. Most recently, his 2021 collaboration with Bob Moses, ‘Inner Light’, became the centerpiece of a major moment when it was featured in the closing moments of the extended Grand Theft Auto VI trailer, sparking a surge in renewed interest nearly five years after its original release.
