London based vocalist and songwriter Eyelar has today released her highly anticipated EP ‘Mistakes & Contradictions’. Listen HERE. Alongside the release, Eyelar has also unveiled her new single ‘Man Like Her’. Listen HERE.

The six-track project showcases Eyelar’s vocal talent, raw songwriting skills and undeniable energy that cements her position as a key artist to watch for 2023. The EP features recently released singles ‘Care Like You’ (produced by friend and long-term collaborator Fred Again), and ‘Obsessed With Your Ex’, as well as four new tracks including ‘Closet’, ‘Newest Kid in School’, ‘Hurt Myself’ and ‘Man Like Her’.

Speaking about the EP Eyelar says: ‘This EP marks the release of my first body of work. It reflects a time of personal growth and healing during where the way I looked at love and life evolved. As an artist, I feel like there’s a perception that you shouldn’t change your mind or point of view. But the thing is I believe growth needs embracing change and that it’s okay to shift your perspective. Some of the songs on this EP show sides of me that aren’t flattering, like “Man Like Her” which is actually a pretty mean song. As scary as it was, I chose to perform and release it because I want to be honest in my music, even if it means expressing things that may not be socially acceptable’.

Taking inspiration from artists including Madonna, Nirvana, Paramore and Hole, Eyelar has established herself as the leader of a new wave of alt-pop artists in the UK working alongside some of music’s hottest names including Little Mix, Camila Cabello, Charlie XCX whom she wrote ‘After The After Party’ with alongside Fred Again, RAYE and Stargate in 2016. Eyelar featured on Fred Again’s latest album ‘Actual Life 3’, lending her voice to numerous voice notes across the album and recently featured on the Fred Again and Brian Eno collaboration ‘Radio’ .

Her success has been further amplified with the hugely successful single ‘Dopamine’ alongside Grammy Award winning producer Purple Disco Machine, which garnered over 150 million streams and charted in Austria, Belgium, Holland, Poland and Germany where it was also #1 airplay record for four weeks. Not stopping there, Eyelar recently performed across Old Blue Last, The Great Escape, and supported L. Devine and UPSAHL on their respective UK tours,

Eyelar’s debut EP ‘Mistakes & Contradictions’ is out now!
