Multi-instrumentalist, singer, producer, and songwriter, Florrie is showing no signs of slowing down in the build up to her new album, The Lost Ones, out 14th June. Today she reveals her stunning new song Kissing In The Cold. The track is the second to be released from the album and can be listened to here. In more exciting news, Florrie announces two new headline shows at The Mercury Lounge in New York City on June 3rd and The Courtyard Theatre on June 20th. Tickets will be available from 3pm BST here.

In Kissing In The Cold, Florrie reflects on a past relationship, contemplating how things might have unfolded had they met at another point in their lives. Evoking a sense of nostalgia, the pensive track is laid over a backing with striking synths and Florrie’s signature drums as a staple throughout, while allowing space for her delicate, emotive vocals to remain the focal point of the song. Speaking of the track, Florrie said, “This song is my favourite from the new album, and is both full of hope and longing. I think it’s something everyone has been through at some point in their lives; looking back and wondering if they made the right decision.”

To accompany Kissing In The Cold, the official video has also been released today. Shot in Northampton, the video sees Florrie walking through the dusky streets, reflecting the meaningful story of the track while she performs the heartfelt, passionate lyrics. “I really wanted to create that feeling of nostalgia, a hazy memory that pops into your head when you’re just falling asleep. For me these are the times when I’m reminded of those distant happy memories of early relationships, when nothing really mattered but you had no idea what you were doing! Also shoutout to the people of Northampton who offered to help at every street corner we turned!”

After a run of well-received independent singles, including 2019’s Grey’s Anatomy-soundtracking Borderline, Florrie announced her debut album release, a pearlescent pop masterpiece, The Lost Ones. Speaking of the album, she said, “I have been waiting to make my debut album for the last 12 years and it deserved all the time and love I’ve put into it.”
