Disability charity ABLE2UK has today announced the return of its flagship fundraising event, Stop The Shadows, in collaboration with acclaimed singer-songwriter Frank Turner, on Saturday 5 September at The Clapham Grand, as the event celebrates it’s 25th anniversary.

Long-standing ABLE2UK trustee and acclaimed Punk-Folk singer-songwriter Frank Turner will perform a special headline show at the event. One of the UK’s most celebrated independent artists, Turner is renowned for his electrifying live shows and was awarded a Guinness World Record in 2024 after performing 15 acoustic gigs across the UK in 24 hours to support grassroots music venues and independent record stores.

Stop The Shadows is ABLE2UK’s flagship annual fundraiser, shining a spotlight on the hidden epidemic of loneliness within the disabled community. Nearly two-thirds (61%) of disabled adults experience chronic loneliness, compared with just 6% of the general population.

As ABLE2UK marks its 25th anniversary, this year’s event on 5th September promises an unforgettable evening of live music, entertainment and special surprises, with more artists set to be announced in the coming weeks.

Every ticket sold will help fund improved accessibility at independent venues and live music events, ensuring more disabled people can experience the joy and connection that live music brings.

Pre-sale tickets go live on Wed 22nd July at 10am, sign up here. General sale goes live on Fri 24th July at 10am.
