Following the beautiful vibes, glorious sun and killer line up of last summer’s LAZY SUNDAY AFTERNOON, the curators – Bradford’s cinematic alt-rock quarter GLASS MOUNTAIN – have upped the ante with another eclectic and exciting line up, including THE HOWL & THE HUM, DREAM ENGLISH KID, RADIDAS, LELO, TALKBOY and, of course, GLASS MOUNTAIN, with further acts to be announced soon.

As well as this brilliant array of bands and artists, you can expect SPECIAL GUESTS, vast quantities of home-cooked curry and a little break in the middle of the programme to allow you and your friends to soak up the sun, drink some beer and eat some food while you enjoy a perfect Lazy Sunday Afternoon.

  • THE HOWL & THE HUM

THE HOWL & THE HUM are a miserable disco from York who write Bond themes for films where Jimmy is still hung up on that girl. They combine dark hypnotic pop with post-punk influences, pierced with lyrics that would make you call your Mum the next morning.

  • DREAM ENGLISH KID

An ethereal dream pop four-piece from Preston, DREAM ENGLISH KID are signed to First Light Records and are gradually building acclaim with a succession of stirring live performances in and around Manchester.

  • RADIDAS

An amalgam of electro, dance and loops, RADIDAS are a duo from Brighton and Kent who create a breadth of psychedelic sound that, should you close your eyes, you could only imagine is created by a five-piece. Possibly more.

  • LELO

20-year-old LELO from Leeds recently released his new single, I Looked at The Sun, playing every instrument himself, taking influence from Bon Iver and the Beach Boys and enlisting backing vocals from his fellow Leeds friends Marsicans, to create the perfect summer release. A release that has been supported and championed by BBC Radio One and BBC Introducing.

  • TALKBOY

Leeds six-piece TALKBOY have yet to release their debut single but are already the talk of the town following performances at Live at Leeds and Gold Sounds Festival, as well as commanding support from BBC Introducing. Their noisy and playful indie rock combines captivating melodies and layers of vocal harmonies with huge walls of fuzz guitar.

  • GLASS MOUNTAIN

Firmly in the cinematic alt-rock category, Bradford quartet GLASS MOUNTAIN make sky-high and life-affirming guitar music that empowers and devastates in equal measure with a heart-wrenching balance of aggression and delicacy. Their arrangements are complex; their lyrics confessional and poetic; they’re artistic without being inaccessible and they’re one of the most promising and accomplished new acts in recent memory.
