Recharged and looking sharply at a world gone sideways, Staines’ finest Hard-Fi drop their latest offering ‘Now and Then’ – taken from their new studio album Sweating Someone Else’s Fever, their first in 15 years, out now via V2 Records. Listen here.

A guitar-driven anthem, ‘Now and Then’ is Hard-Fi at their finest, echoing the sounds of the 00s, this time turning things inwards capturing an existential crisis that will no doubt be all too familiar to many. “Unless you’re on your way to the GTech, the Waterloo via Hounslow Loop can feel like you’re suspended in time”, explains frontman Richard Archer. “Introspection ensues – Now and Then explores the constant yo-yo-ing of feeling invincible one minute and broken the next and the worry that you’ve dragged the ones you love down with you with the paralysis of not being one or the other.”

Memorable summer festival dates have ensued, and this December sees the band taking on three major headline dates – London, O2 Academy Brixton, O2 Institute Birmingham & O2 Ritz Manchester, seeing them back where they belong, on the country’s biggest indoor stages. The Brixton show will see them back at the venue that they graced 20 years ago as part of a 5-night sold out residency.

Alongside the band’s December headline tour dates, which now includes a sold-out warm-up show at The Fleece in Bristol, Hard-Fi will be heading to Germany for an instore at Rough Trade Berlin on Monday October 26th. Tickets available HERE

Written and recorded throughout 2025 in their synonymous ex-taxi-office-turned studio Cherry Lips, and produced by frontman Richard Archer alongside long-time collaborator Wolsey White, the album looks outside the window to the fractured present, and paints it in bold musical strokes, with the same sharp-eyed social commentary that powered their classic debut Stars of CCTV, but with fresh perspective, new sounds and hard-earned freedom.

Named after an El Salvador saying about not fighting other people’s ego-based battles, Sweating Someone Else’s Fever represents Hard-Fi unburdened: playing together again, free from pressure, making music for the joy of it.
