In a brand-new video, International superstar cellist HAUSER performs his version of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “The Phantom of the Opera” theme to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the legendary Broadway musical, now officially set to close in April 2023. The music video, the first to have ever been recorded on the stage of Phantom’s London home – Her Majesty’s Theatre – features HAUSER as the “Phantom” alongside his obsession “Christine Daaé” in a dramatic performance. With HAUSER’s impeccable interpretation, this new visual showcases the storyline of the longest-running Broadway musical in a refreshing new way.
The international superstar cellist also kicks off a week of daily video releases culminating in a new visual album for his Billboard crossover chart-topping full-length album THE PLAYER, which is available now on Sony Music Masterworks (listen here).
On Friday 17th Feb, as part of the weeklong celebration of romance, HAUSER will debut a new single “It’s Not Unusual,” a fresh and ebullient take on the 1965 hit, originally made into a timeless classic by Tom Jones. Featured in this week’s previously unreleased music videos are “Quando, Quando, Quando” – out today, “Señorita” out February 14, “Cherry Pink and Apple Blossom White” out February 15, and “La Isla Bonita” out February 16.
