Introducing… HUNNI, new pop duo formed of best friends Jenna (Jen) and Olivia (Liv). Hailing from Newcastle, UK, where the duo met and soundtracked the streets of the North East as buskers, before blowing judges and the public away and winning the latest season of The Voice UK as Jen & Liv, under the mentorship of will.i.am. Now, under their brand new name HUNNI and signed to Universal, the duo jump headfirst into the pop stratosphere, continuing their breakthrough with the release of their debut single ‘Heartbeat’. The single is available HERE.

‘Heartbeat’ is a flirtatious and instantly catchy bop, simultaneously feeling new and nostalgic for the noughties sonics that inspired it including Nelly Furtado who is also named within the song. It was written and produced with Matt Wills (Rudimental/Charlotte Plank) and TAET (Aitch, Toddla T).

Eager to support incredible creative talent coming out of the North East of England, the official music video was created by fellow Newcastle creatives, J6 Films, and shot in Newcastle itself, with the full cast of dancers, choreographer, stylists, hair and makeup teams all based out of the North East. The stunning single artwork was also shot by award-winning Newcastle photographer Meg Jepson. Watch the music video HERE.

Discussing the single, they say “Words can’t explain how excited we are to release ‘Heartbeat’, and for the world to see (and hear!) what we’ve been working on behind the scenes. The song means so much to us both – we hope everyone loves it just as much as we do! We’ve been itching to release original music for so long now and have never felt more ready. It means the world to us that we’re finally able to show our incredible fans who Hunni are.”

After blowing judges and fans away with their live prowess, HUNNI are set to reclaim the live stage on 27th April with a headline show for BBC Introducing at The Grove in Newcastle. Tickets are on sale now and available HERE.
