Rising pop star KiD RAiN is in the middle of a big inclusive viral moment as he today shares his brand new single ‘I Hope You Never Fall In Love Again’. Released in three different versions (ex-girlfriend, ex-boyfriend and they/them), it’s an insanely catchy shout-it-out loud pop stomper, and probably the most inclusive FU to an ex ever written. Listen HERE.

The three main videos that KiD RAiN has teased ahead of the track’s release have been greeted by a huge reaction by fans. They’ve been viewed over 3 million times, gained 300,000 likes, and generated over 35,000 pre-saves. What’s more, their reaction has been instrumental in helping KiD RAiN shape the song’s direction.

Inspired by its killer hook, the song was first revealed as an antidote to Valentine’s Day with an original version that had more of an alt-pop production. But when KiD RAiN shared an acoustic performance of the track, its impact was so huge that he decided to use that as the style for the official studio version too.

Things didn’t slow down then, either. Fans requested an ex-boyfriend version, which KiD RAiN quickly delivered. And then they wanted a they/them version, so – you guessed it – KiD RAiN wrote a third version of the song.

KiD RAiN says, “This is a song for everyone who wished they could say this to their ex! An ex-girlfriend version, an ex-boyfriend version and a they/them version so everyone can finally screeeaam, ‘I HOPE YOU NEVER FALL IN LOVE AGAIN!’ I’d love to take credit for this idea but the fans completely shaped this song and all the versions. I hope it helps you get over her/him/them!”

KiD RAiN wrote the initial version of the song with King Ed (Years & Years, Baby Queen) and solo artist Joey Knight, before adapting the lyrics for the ex-boyfriend and they/them versions himself.

‘I Hope You Never Fall In Love Again’ continues KiD RAiN’s ascendent star status, which has made everyone from Khloe Kardashian to Tom Walker and JC Stewart take note. His version of ‘Accidentally In Love’ was highlighted as BBC Introducing’s Record of the Week, and featured on countless major playlists at Spotify, Apple Music and Deezer – eventually leading to 10 million+ streams, #1 on iTunes and Top 25 on Spotify UK’s Viral Chart. He continued to explode with his early originals, working with the Grammy-nominated Mitch Jones (Ed Sheeran, Mahalia, Jessie Ware) on songs including ‘Magic’ and ‘Sole of Your Shoe’.

KiD RAiN adds, “Busted were my first EVER gig so I can’t tell you how it feels to come full circle and be opening for Charlie now. I’m buzzing to see you all in May.”
