I DONT KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME (iDKHOW)’s latest single Choke has had a whole new make-over today, as a playful acoustic version of the song. With iDKHOW’s creative force Dallon Weekes on lead vocals and bass, the track is backed only by ragtime-imbued piano, horns and bass, and a gleeful-sounding background chorus. It premiered on Billboard.com yesterday, alongside a feature on the idiosyncratic two-piece. Check out the acoustic version of Choke, here.

The original version of Choke is the first track to be taken from the bands’ debut EP, 1981 Extended Play via Fearless Records. It showcases an excellent example of Weekes’ catchy, upbeat music juxtaposed with witty, sardonic lyrics. Choke debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Heatseeker chart in the U.S, and has been streamed over 17 million times. The last 12 months have been busy for iDKHOW since their sold-out headline UK run last Summer. They supported Deaf Havana at their prestigious O2 Academy Brixton show in December, and are currently on their debut headline tour in the U.S which kicked off with a sold out show in Dallon’s hometown of Salt Lake City. Showing no signs of slowing down, iDKHOW are playing a run of UK shows in May starting with their first ever Slam Dunk Festival performance in Leeds and Hatfield. See full dates below.
