Jack Savoretti releases beautiful video for ‘Christmas Morning’

Jack Savoretti has released the beautiful video, directed by the BAFTA nominated Karni and Saul (The Staves, Katie Melua), for brand new Radio 2 A List single, ‘Christmas Morning’.

Following the release of the special edition of his Number 1 album, ‘Singing To Strangers’, Jack Savoretti has released the beautiful video, directed by the BAFTA nominated Karni and Saul (The Staves, Katie Melua), for brand new Radio 2 A List single, ‘Christmas Morning’.

Made at Karni and Saul’s Bristol studio, Sulkybunny, the video for ‘Christmas Morning’ is a beautiful animation that anyone watching can connect with. The sweet and innocent familiar story of a parent returning home late on Christmas Eve to their sleeping children perfectly compliments the stunning hushed tones of Jack’s vocal line. “This is a song I’ve written for my children and I think it’s a song that any parent who has to travel a lot for work will relate to.” Jack said on the track. “Christmas is that bookmark in the year that you know you have to get back for I hope they are reassured when hearing it that I will be there.”

Having previously collaborated for one of his first music videos, ‘Between The Minds’, at the beginning of both their careers, Karni and Saul couldn’t wait to work with Jack again. “After listening to ‘Christmas Morning’ we felt it was like a lullaby,” they commented. “We wanted to make something complex and simple to illustrate the love and magical connection between a parent and child.”

This is no three-b-sides-and-a-Live-in-Pompeii-version-of-the-big-single. Singing To Strangers: Special Edition features three brand new studio tracks, ‘Closer’ and ‘Waiting For The Sun’, plus a stunning original festive track ‘Christmas Morning. Other highlights include the Radio 2 A-list smash ‘Youth & Love’ feat. Mika, ‘Music’s Too Sad Without You’ (Jack’s hit duet with Kylie Minogue), ‘Candlelight’ from his Radio 2 Ken Bruce Piano Session and Jack’s collaboration with UK artist Sigma, ‘You And Me As One’.

Here, then, again, anew, is Jack Savoretti’s masterpiece, offering love and warmth and togetherness in cold and fractious times. He began the year singing to strangers. He’s ending it singing to friends – hundreds of thousands of them.
