2019 has introduced Joesef’s soulful, sultry music to a wider audience, with single’s “Don’t Give In”, “Loverboy” and “Limbo” getting  early support from the likes of BBC Radio 1,BBC 6 Music, BBC 1Xtra, Colors,  Miss Vogue and Gay Times. Today, we are pleased to share new single “Play Me Something Nice”, taken from the upcoming release of the new EP of the same name via AWAL recordings, out October 18th.

The EP navigates feelings of first love and loss or as Joesef puts it the breakdown of his first relationship, “and how complicated it became for both of us trying to navigate through life without each other.” He adds, “it’s about a sort of nostalgia and love that continues to linger after the dust has settled.” The single itself “is about being lonely, and seeking comfort in the familiarity of each other even though everything has fallen apart.” Built on worldly, human themes, the EP will surely resonate with Joesef’s growing and committed fan base.
