Ivor Novello, GRAMMY and BRIT Award winning singer songwriter and producer Kamille today releases the boldly anthemic Time to Kill, the third single taken from her self-produced mini album ‘K1’, due Friday, 8 September. Listen to Time to Kill here.

‘K1’ kicks off a new chapter for Kamille as an independent artist, leading the charge of the next wave of UK R&B. The album’s latest release Options, featuring Bellah and Tamera, has been turning heads across BBC Radio 1, being named Tune of the Week two weeks in a row.

Currently Dean and Vicky’s Tune of the Week, Jack Saunders chose Options as his Tune of The Week while sitting in for Clara Amfo on Future Sounds in early August. Speaking of the track, Jack said, “Kamille is a natural born pop writer, now embarking on her very own journey. I really do believe this is her best yet”. K1’s first single, Muscle Memory featuring Nile Rodgers, went straight onto the BBC Radio 2A-List, sitting alongside Miley Cyrus, Kylie and Dua Lipa at the time.

Time To Kill is a pop banger, cementing Kamille as one of the most exciting new artists of the year. Fun, daring and addictive, the single reflects on the special relationship you have with ‘the one’ person, sharing your most intimate feelings with them.

Kamille says: “I love that feeling when you just want to spend all your time with the one you love, when time feels like it stands still. This song is all about embracing that moment.”

Continuing to go back to her roots, Kamille is reviving 1980’s disco within her music, as Time to Kill blends a funk-ridden beat with a distinctive pop melody. A part two to Muscle Memory, which is all about unrequited love and a devastating breakup, Kamille “flips the sad emotion to something sexier and fun” with her latest release.

As one of the most successful women in music with a staggering 34 platinum-selling singles and six UK #1’s, Kamille has written hits for everyone from Little Mix, Dua Lipa and RAYE to Kylie Minogue, Stormzy, FLO and many more. Creating her own sound for the very first time, Kamille is reaching new heights with ‘K1’.
