Irish songwriter, producer and artist Cian Ducrot has released his newest effort, ‘Know Me Again’ via Darkroom/Interscope, Polydor UK. A poignant song about heart-wrenching breakups that are so devastating that you only wish to be reintroduced to your love to start over again. The song, written by Cian himself and frequent collaborator (and past roommate) Cate, is a feat in songwriting excellence. The pair’s voices flutter across the melody of ‘Know Me Again’ slowly lulling in the listener to then crescendo into a massive peak as Cian’s booming vocals and production pairs up against Cate’s saccharine-like vocal work. ‘Know Me Again’ is another clear indicator of Cian’s masterful handling of evoking raw emotion through music.

Speaking about the track, Cian says “Cate and I wrote ‘Know Me Again’ over FaceTime, and then we kind of forgot about it for a long time. It wasn’t until my nearly five year relationship had ended that we came back to this song to finish it, and we realised how special it was. This was one of the first songs Cate and I ever wrote together, and it was the start of a wonderful friendship and songwriting journey. This song means the world to us both .”

Hailing from the rural ‘Bible Belt’ of British Columbia, Canada, singer and songwriter Cate recently released her debut EP ‘Love, The Madness’, which was tipped by The Line of Best Fit and has already garnered 1.5 Million streams since it’s release in September 2020. Her latest single, ‘Groupies’, then went on to attract more than 300k streams in it’s first week alone.

Cian’s latest single ‘Crocodiles’ counts more than  700,000 streams on Spotify,  was stamped as ‘something to treasure’ by CLASH, and also supported by The Independent, Pop Justice and MTV UK among others. Labelled as ‘a phenomenal songwriter’ by Jack Saunders on BBC Radio 1, heralded as ‘one to watch’ by Notion Magazine and ‘on the brink of great things’ by the Daily Star, there’s plenty more to come from the up-and-coming 23-year-old.
