Leeds band VICTORS have headline show Hyde Park Book Club

“Sometimes songs can take forever to come about, but Big City was written in just one night at our flat. It’s about regret and living with your decisions when maybe they were the wrong ones.”

Hailing from Leeds, VICTORS’ fearless approach to creating and performing music hasn’t gone unnoticed since they started out in 2016. The band that reached nearly 2 million Spotify streams on their first single are setting themselves up for an onslaught of activity in 2019, starting off with a slick synth-pop record that encapsulates the carefully constructed craftsmanship the group have to offer. Dropping on the 26th April, ‘Big City’ will be their first release of the year.

Featuring delicate percussive stabs, intricate melodies and dreamy vocal work, to say ‘Big City’ is radio-worthy would be an understatement. VICTORS’ unique ability to break genre boundaries whilst maintaining their own undeniable sound hasn’t gone unnoticed and their new single is no exception. On creating ‘Big City’ they added:

After featuring on BBC Radio 1 and ITV’s This Morning, as well as being playlisted in Topshop and Spotify’s Weekly Discover section, not to mention being played in NFL stadiums across America, VICTORS have won the ears and hearts of some of the biggest names in the business. Their ever-extending list of achievements includes playing alongside Kaiser Chiefs, Manic Street Preachers and King No-One, performing at The Jacksons’ VIP after party, radio support on a global scale and smashing out their electric live performances in front of tens of thousands of people time and time again.

Their eccentric 80s-infused pop-rock explores a raw outspoken energy only identifiable to them. Fuelled with emotion and downright danceability, VICTORS’ euphoric vocal hooks and arena-sized choruses will have you hooked from the get-go. This is ‘Big City.’
