That rush of remarkable form continues with the new single ‘One Of Us’, which will be released next FridayAugust 16th. Sweeping strings and gospel-tinged backing vocals heighten the emotional impact of a song which expresses hope that a fractured relationship can be salvaged in the future. Fans who attended last weekend’s MTV Unplugged set in Hull witnessed the song’s live debut and will have surely noticed a memorable reference to the Oasis classic ‘Live Forever’.

“‘One of Us’ is about family, friendship and a sense of belonging,” says Liam“I love the groove and the gospel outro. It reminds me of The Sweet Inspirations.”

Liam co-wrote ‘One Of Us’. His youngest son Gene contributed bongos, accompanied by Nick Zinner of Yeah Yeah Yeahs on guitar.

‘One Of Us’ is now available to pre-order on vinyl from https://store.liamgallagher.com/uk/. It follows ‘Shockwave’, which remains the biggest selling vinyl single of the year to date.

‘Why Me? Why Not.’ is also available to pre-order from the same link. Formats include a collectible D2C package which compiles a deluxe CD, a sun yellow vinyl album and a one-sided etched 12” which features three deluxe bonus tracks along with a demo recording that’s exclusive to this format – all packaged in a hardcover book with two art prints and a poster.

This summer has seen Liam play select UK gigs, which have ranged from an intimate set at Round Chapel through to a biblical reaction at Glastonbury. Demand for tickets for his November tour have been huge, resulting in most shows already selling out as well as the addition of second nights in London and Dublin.
