Lxandra releases her brand new single ‘Careful What I Dream Of’.

What are dreams if they’re not projections of your innermost hopes, fears or aspirations? Familiar faces lined up in familiar places, memories that almost happened, but didn’t quite go down how you planned. Nighttime or daytime, dreaming big or small, singer/songwriter Lxandra has a warning for you: “sometimes falling for an idea of something, can be dangerous.”

Her new single, “Careful What I Dream of” that comes with a stunning visualizer out today (May 1st), came together about two years ago in LA written with some of her favourite songwriters. Speaking more about the track Lxandra shared: “I feel like this is the right time to put it out cos of the weird and scary situation the world is in. Lately, I’ve lost myself in my own worlds a lot more than usual to run away from the hard truth we’re all facing at the moment. I directed the visual myself, I wanted to give the song new levels and meaning. The video is a peek into the bigger visual story I’m creating for the album.”

Never one to do things by halves, an exciting visual will be released alongside her long-awaited debut album set for autumn this year. “Careful What I Dream of” is the third taste of the record, following last year’s “Other People” and “Glide” this February. The album promises to surpass her lauded EP “Another Lesson Learned”, which saw the likes of Refinery 29, Notion, Wonderland, The Line of Best Fit & Clash among others praise the on-the-rise artist.

Lxandra grew up on the small island of Suomenlinna, Finland – attending a music high school in neighbouring Helsinki, before making the move to Berlin, Germany. It’s here where she found an escape from the reality of her own. Launching her career and sharing her eclectic, folk-influenced noir-pop with stirring singles “Hush Hush Baby” and “Dig Deep”, Lxandra has been on an upward trajectory ever since.
