Euphoric Glaswegian group Medicine Cabinet have today released their anticipated debut single ‘The Signs’, stream here.

Having built a buzzing following since appearing at All Points East and Neighbourhood Festival last summer and supporting the likes of Sports Team, Spector and The Murder Capital, Medicine Cabinet’s debut single is an electric surge of joyous indie rock, flickered with power pop melodies and gang vocals that harken to their collective mindset and community ethos.

About the new single the band say “‘The Signs’ is about searching for meaning in the world around you where collective identity and true connection is fragmented. It’s about trying, failing, and trying again, hoping to juice some sense out of the symbols you see around you, to find your place within something, or someone. We hope that it can be a part of your mind’s soundtrack, and a fruitful imaginative resource in your pursuit of happiness, as much as it has been for us.”

Existing between the glittering and gritty worlds of pop rock legends No Doubt and Blondie, with the story-telling sensitivity of Kate Bush and electronic menace of Grimes and PC Music, Medicine Cabinet are forging their own path fitting firmly outside the box.

Medicine Cabinet will be playing  The Great Escape Festival in Brighton on Thursday 12th May 2022 @ 6.15pm at Chalk, and  Friday 13th May 2022 @ One Church at 1pm. They will also be playing a hometown show at TRNSMT Festival, Glasgow on 9th July.
