Following the release of her critically acclaimed debut album, ‘Heaven Knows,’ UK soul artist Mica Millar plays her biggest ever headline show at London’s Jazz Cafe on Saturday 17th September and her hometown’s prestigious Albert Hall in Manchester on Sunday 25th September.

Equipped with her eight-strong, powerhouse band, Albert Hall will provide the perfect backdrop to the album where fans can expect a soulful ‘Sunday Service’ set in golden light beneath the hall’s ornate cathedral ceiling – the very same spot she filmed the video for album title track ‘Heaven Knows’ – see here. And with a capacity just shy of 2,000, the show will act as a full circle moment for Mica, who has spent years performing in Manchester’s thriving live music scene. 

Born and raised in Withington, South Manchester, Mica Millar has been a highly respected voice in Manchester’s diverse and thriving music scene since unveiling her talent to a crowd of just 50 people, with a fierce introduction at her first headline show in the tightly packed venue The Castle Hotel.

Working across the cities rich music scene, Mica has been at the helm of championing the cities Soul, RnB & Hip Hop acts through her flag ship Reform Radio show as well as taking center stage collaborating with acts such as Goldie, Northbase & MC Sparkz (The Mouse Outfit/LVLZ), performing with The BBC Philharmonic Orchestra and picking up guest vocalist slots alongside Manchester legend Peter Hook for ‘Hacienda Classical and ‘Joy Division Orchestrated’ with shows at The Royal Albert Hall and Sydney Opera House. 

Manchester’s metropolis has played a pivotal role in Mica’s evolution as an artist, laying down the foundations for her to flourish as a respected musician with a steadily increasing following that has seen her take to the stage for sold-out headline stints at the prestigious Deaf Institute and Band on the Wall, making this September’s show at the iconic Albert Hall, a triumphant Manchester milestone. Mica is also confirmed to join ‘Joy Division Orchestrated’ again in October 2022 for two very special performances at Manchester Apollo and the London Palladium.
