MILLIE MANDERS AND THE SHUTUP have released their new double AA side 7” single – ANGRY SIDE // CAN I GET OFF? – ahead of their UK headline spring tour.

The 7” and a new range of limited edition T-Shirts were available to pre-order last month to help raise funds for Mercy Without Limits – https://mwlimits.org – with remaining stock available to order here: https://milliemanders.bigcartel.com/category/double-a-side

Talking about the single, Millie Manders says: “Angry Side is, I guess, a letter from my teenage self, apologising for being so angry and wanting to burn down the world. I had a lot going on back then and I hid behind bravado a lot. I suppose it’s also me telling my younger self that it’s OK to have been that angry when I went through a bunch of trauma that I couldn’t process well enough to deal with it all. I was a kid.”

“The western world is privileged because it has pillaged resources from everyone else in the world. We need to unlearn what we know and recognise the suffering people are going through as a result of our greed. Can I Get Off? is an outpouring of my frustrations about that and, ultimately, the reason we are fundraising for Mercy Without Limits.”

Known for their ferocious and joyous live shows and championed by the likes of the BBC Radio 1 Rock Show, BBC Introducing, Radio X and Vive Le Rock, the band will release their second album later this year. The eagerly awaited new album follows their acclaimed debut Telling Truths, Breaking Ties.

With grinding guitars, irresistible horns, huge amounts of pop appeal and candid lyrics, the band delve into themes such as loss, betrayal, anxiety, heartbreak, environmental concerns and political unrest, all while exuding the punk attitude and the prowess that sets them apart.

Supports for the forthcoming tour will be Voodoo Radio and All Ears Avow. TICKETS
