Lina Maxine, has announced her debut EP. MIND GAMES spans six tracks exploring themes such as self-worth, romance and revenge, and will be released on 20th April. The process of writing and recording MIND GAMES was a sort of cognitive intervention for Lina, as the world was falling apart. Shehopes she can facilitate the important conversation about how music can be a tool for healing, and uniting people. Pre-save here.

Lina says of the release, This EP is a collection of true stories from my life made into symbolic musical anecdotes. I hope that those listening can relate to some of the situations, feelings, or metaphors in my music. I have grown so much as an artist and as an individual from putting down first lyric ideas to understanding the nitty-gritty of production and mix engineering. As I continue to nurture my own unique and recognisable sound I will always refer back to this EP as my first sincere and unapologetic experiment.”

Alongside the highly-anticipated EP news, Lina has released her ethereal new single in the form of, SHALL WE?. Lina gave her most devoted fans a chance to be the first to hear the track, via the power of WhatsApp. Showcasing a more vulnerable side, the singer-songwriter explains of SHALL WE?“This was the first song I ever wrote and it has a very dear meaning to my heart: it’s about taking a leap of faith. I recalled once asking someone I cared about to spontaneously take a trip away from everyday reality. SHALL WE? invites the listener on a dreamy, romantic journey traveling into a heavenly musical space where everything is possible.” Listen here.

The announcement of MIND GAMES and release of SHALL WE?, comes hot on the heels of previous single, MANGO. The track recently received its first radio play on BBC Music Introducing South East. The thirst-quenching video, which was directed by Roisino (Sody, GIRLI and more), has almost hit 100k views on YouTube, and can be seen here.

Tuesday 29th March will see Lina headline Folklore, in Hackney. She will be joined by support from Kitty Fitz and Vanity Fairy. Tickets can be found here. Lina made her long-awaited live debut in New York City last year, at The Cutting Room. The rising star then played a sold out show at London’s iconic The Bedford in Balham, just days after.
