As his eagerly awaited ‘A Quiet Celebration’ UK tour approaches, Paul Simon announces a run of Pitchblack Playblack listening sessions of his acclaimed, Grammy-nominated album ‘Seven Psalms’.
Pitchblack Playback is a concept which provides immersive, deep listening sessions for music lovers in a way unlike anywhere else. Played loud and uncompressed on some of the world’s best sound systems in dark environments, it provides a space in which the audience’s entire focus is on the music. In a stressful modern world, it’s an escape in which it’s just you and the music, free from the noise and distractions of daily life.
Paul Simon’s ‘Seven Psalms’ is perfectly suited for the Pitchback Playback experience. The album is a continuous 33-minute suite of music, a journey which consists of seven interlinked segments. It establishes a meditative, almost hymnal ambience, with his tender voice at the top of an acoustic arrangement. The Pitchback Playback experience will reveal every intricate detail of its warm sound, and will also provide a new-found emphasis on Paul Simon’s profound lyricism.
Each venue has been specifically chosen for its atmosphere and acoustics, and all venues will feature a mini exhibition of Paul Simon’s previous performances in the UK. Doors open at 7pm for each session.
Tickets for the Pitchblack Playback listening session are now on sale HERE . The first 25 fans at each venue who order a ticket and album bundle will receive a signed copy of ‘Seven Psalms’. The dates are:
