Jazz-pop songstress Purdy is back with a brand-new single, For All Time, out now. The track is available to download and stream with all digital partners – listen here.

A contemporary and stylish spin on bossa nova, For All Time is a track that Purdy describes as coming back home. “It’s a very simple tale of finding something or someone special and hoping it will last forever. I wrote the track in an unsuspecting moment waiting for my producer Andy at the studio. I wanted to go back to my jazz roots for some of the tracks on my album and until now I felt something was missing. My guitarist Jamie McCredie and producer Andy Wright helped add the magic”.

For All Time marks Purdy’s first release since her beautiful cover of Frankie Valli’s classic Can’t Take My Eyes Off You. Purdy performed Can’t Take My Eyes Off You on the fourth season of The Crown. In the sixth episode, Purdy sings during the portrayal of Princess Diana and Prince Charles’ first publicly filmed dance in 1983. Purdy’s version of the track can also be heard at the end of the episode during the credits. The performance and dance can be viewed here.

Allowing her to be braver and more open with her lyrics, Rebecca Poole took on the pseudonym of Purdy. The name change was Inspired by a conversation with her friend, the legendary Alan McGee who thought it would be cooler to have a bit of a re-brand. She chose Purdy because it was the name of her brothers first band and they were big Avengers fans.

Purdy’s distinctive, sultry stylings and songwriting skills have led to critical acclaim and praise from some of the world’s biggest stars and musicians. She supported Jools Holland on tour, guested with Jamie Cullum on the BBC Cheltenham Festival stage and sang with Simply Red on The Royal Variety Show. Purdy has also sung for both Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber and Sir Mick Jagger and was asked to perform on Richard Branson’s Necker Island opening for Lana Del Ray. A personal highlight, she has also performed her self-penned Remembrance song to 90,000 people at Wembley Stadium.

Influenced by greats including Nina Simone, Julie London, Lauren Bacall, Nancy Sinatra and Amy Winehouse, Purdy is excitedly putting the finishing touches to her third album due for release next year. Outside of music, she loves to write, paint, walk, swim and explore nature. She has a passion for raising awareness on environmental issues and has started a refill campaign in her hometown to lessen plastic waste.
