Ahead of the release of her highly-anticipated sophomore album Hold The Girl due this Friday via Dirty Hit, British-Japanese pop sensation Rina Sawayama shares the final single “Hurricanes.” Premiering as BBC 1’s Hottest Record, “Hurricanes” is an anthemic pop-rock track about conquering and enjoying the challenges life throws at you. The new single arrives on the heels of Rina’s New York Times and Pitchfork features where she speaks about growing up in London, the genesis of Hold The Girl, and her blossoming career.

Hold The Girl will feature “Hurricanes,” along with the previously released songs “Phantom,” “This Hell,” which debuted with a performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, “Catch Me In The Air” and the title track “Hold The Girl”, which came with an Ali Kurr-directed video.

In October Rina will embark on her UK and Ireland tour, where multiple dates are already or nearly sold out, like her O2 Brixton Academy date, marking a legendary moment in the pop star’s career. This week Rina played a limited capacity intimate show with Banquet Records, Kingston and will play another intimate show at London’s Village Underground on September 18th. Tickets are on sale now HERE.
