Chart-topping Drum and Bass stars Rudimental are heading to Halifax next summer for a special night of big beats and massive anthems.
One of the biggest names in British dance music, Rudimental will bring a high energy show to Live At The Piece Hall on Saturday July 3. They will be joined by UK garage star MJ Cole and BBC Radio 1 DJ Charlie Tee who will open the show.
Tickets go on sale at 10am Friday October 16 via ticketmaster.co.uk
Rudimental, made up of friends Piers Aggett, Kesi Dryden and Leon Rolle, have led the way for British electronic music for more than a decade, with global hits including Feel The Love, Waiting All Night and These Days.
Across their career, Rudimental have sold more than 25 million singles and three million albums worldwide, amassed more than five billion streams, scored three UK Number One singles and two UK Number One albums, while collecting BRIT and MOBO Awards alongside a Mercury Prize nomination.
Last year saw the release of their fifth studio album Rudim3ntal featuring Top 10 lead single Dancing Is Healing. Celebrating the sound system roots they discovered as teenagers, the album puts climactic, expressive hooks and crisp, energetic breakbeats back in the spotlight.
Special guest on the night will be British composer, producer and live performer MJ Cole whose work continues to influence UK music from the soulful depths of garage to expansive contemporary and classical-inflected projects.
Emerging from the late-90s UK underground, MJ Cole was central to the rise of two-step UK garage. His breakthrough track Sincere became one of the first garage songs to break into the UK Top 40, propelling the genre into the mainstream.
Last year he marked 25 years since that pivotal release with a run of performances including Glastonbury, We Out Here Festival and London’s KOKO.
Opening the show in Halifax will be DJ, broadcaster Charlie Tee – BBC Radio 1’s first ever full-time drum and bass specialist.
