‘Threshold’ is a high art, synth-led pop track that features Saint Leonard’s now distinctive vocal alongside entrancing melodic lines and a cool, nocturnal atmosphere. Lyrically the track is multi-layered as Saint Leonard writes in a dimension few dare to tread. Musically it draws on German electronic music and new wave whilst being defiantly modern and stylish. The track was put together at the legendary Hansa Studios in Berlin and Paul Epworth’s Church Studios in London. As with previous singles ‘Threshold’ was recorded with members of Fat White Family.

‘Threshold’ comes off a successful 2023 for Saint Leonard. He released his Full Moon singles series in the autumn – ‘Tell Me The Truth’, ‘God Give Me Strength’ and ‘Bells & Ecstasy’ – and he played a phenomenal headline show at The Windmill in Brixton. Praise came from The Times, The New Cue, Clash, Still Listening and more.

Forthcoming album ‘The Golden Hour’ is a brand-new record informed by travels to India, audiences with spiritual leaders and sartorial amphetamine-fuelled evenings living in hotel rooms in Berlin. From reckoning with Californian cults in a Shiva temple in India, to reading extracts from his novel to an audience of the Berlin art-scene that led to an auspicious meeting with The Fat White Family (who suggested a collaboration on his new album).
