Pop singer and songwriter Salem Ilese shares her new track ‘Hey Siri’. The track sets the stage for the arrival of her upcoming Unsponsored Content EP—due out early next year.

“I’ve always enjoyed incorporating brand names into my music because I find them to be such an integral part of our lives, weaving themselves into pop culture, and the ways in which our generation communicates” Salem explains. “‘Unsponsored Content’ may strike you as an EP of jingles but, in reality, it’s my interpretation of the world through the brands that shape us.”

This release follows up the 21-year-old artist’s previous single “Ben & Jerry,” which OnesToWatch hailed as “a pop-flavored tour de force worth indulging in, and Melodic Magazine wrote it “brims with electro-pop stylistics that eats away the pain of honeyed heartbreak. Meanwhile, HAPPY described it best as “a bop with endless imagination.

Back in 2020, her breakout hit ‘Mad at Disney’ gained viral momentum, with over 208M Spotify streams and the creation of over 3.2M TikTok videos, all while holding placement on Spotify’s Today’s Top Hits playlist for over 15 weeks. From there she went on to release “Coke & Mentos” in November 2020, premiering the track on Zane Lowe’s Apple Music show, followed by the release of her EP (L)onely Child this year – which Notion stated was “Both a journey through Salem Ilese’s talent, but also through her blossoming capabilities as a ‘social change’ artist with a vision of injecting morals, questions and opinions into the anatomy of her music.”

Salem has also been busy supporting LANY over in the US, and making her name as a sought-after guest, collaborator, and songwriter in the pop circles. She recently lent her vocals to Surfaces’ “Come With Me,” gathering over 7 million streams, and she co-wrote Bella Poarch’s runaway breakthrough smash “Build A Bitch,” which has impressively surpassed 250 million streams and counting.
