After announcing his second studio album last week, Sam Tompkins makes his live return with the announcement of seven special, intimate dates across the UK & EU in October.
The run of new shows will see him make his full live return since headlining London’s Eventim Apollo in November 2023, including a special night at London, Koko on October 7th – tickets here – with pre-sale kicking off Wednesday, July 15th @ 10.00am local, and general sale on Friday, July 17th @ 10.00am local.
New album ARE WE GONNA SING? is due for release on September 4th on Island Records. Beautifully raw, it arrives packed with emotionally-powerful songs of the highest calibre, including brand new single ‘CRAWLING OUT MY SKIN’ – listen here.
Behind ARE WE GONNA SING? lies Sam’s most personal story yet. Following the loss of his father in late 2023, the person who had supported him since his earliest days posting covers online and busking on the streets of Brighton, the album became an emotional document of grief, healing and learning how to find joy again.
The last few months have seen Sam make his return, which has been met with open arms as ‘BEAUTY QUEEN’ & ‘BODY TO BODY’ surpassed 1 million global streams, as well as BBC Radio 1 support and media support from The Independent, Dork, Official Charts & more. He also made a triumphant return to the stage with sold-out shows at Hoxton Hall and Concorde 2 in Brighton (a Jack Daniels & Coke partnership), with over 1,000 fans signing up in just three days for the intimate 250-capacity London show.
Already boasting two UK Top 10 projects – 2022’s Who Do You Pray To and 2024 debut album Hi, My Name Is Insecure – alongside over 300 million global streams, more than 3 million social followers and multiple sold-out headline tours, Sam has quietly built one of the most impressive and authentic careers of any emerging British artist.
From performing alongside Justin Bieber to achieving Platinum certification in the US alongside Gold certifications in Germany and Italy, his rise has been remarkable. Those releases followed breakthrough moments including ‘Lose It All’ – the piano ballad that challenged outdated conversations around masculinity and vulnerability – as well as viral global smash ‘To The Moon’, his collaboration with Jnr Choi that has amassed hundreds of millions of streams worldwide.
With a return to the stage, and a simply stunning new record, 2026 will see Sam Tompkins at his most complete and powerful.
