Brixton artist Santino Le Saint today shares his smouldering new R&B single ‘Bullet With My Name On It’. Written and produced by Santino, ‘BWMNOI’ was inspired by Peaky Blinders and the legendary moment an engraved bullet was handed to charismatic gangster Thomas Shelby.

Speaking of the track, Santino said –

“That iconic idea –  of engraving someone’s name into a bullet – and what is says about destiny, finality & an obsession that exists somewhere between love and hate, mesmerised me. I went to my studio late that evening and produced the track myself. The hook & melodies came first, then the lyrics came to me –  lyrics about being so excited to be in love yet scared of being hurt. I think a lot of people have that war going on in their heads.”

Santino crafts dark R&B; merging sultry instrumentation with a thread of melancholy that draws influence from artists such as Lana Del Ray and Frank Ocean. As the son of legendary hip-hop producer Charlie Parker (57 Dynasty), 21-year-old Santino grew up around music, learning piano and guitar from age 8. Growing up on the sounds of rock icons such as Jimi Hendix, Nirvana and Ozzy Osbourne, Santino’s overcast and cinematic productions are often accompanied by his signature electric guitar solos.

A multifaceted artist, in 2019 Santino founded Cloud X; a multi-disciplinary arts collective comprised of artists, music industry execs, content creators and more. Santino’s recent projects with Cloud X include collaborations with ‘King of Glamour’ Julien MacDonald and rising streetwear brand Maria Gulina.

Since releasing his debut in 2018, Santino has consistently shared haunting cuts; telling dark romantic stories born out of honest personal experiences. Following festival appearances at Field Day and MELT Festival, November 2019 sees Santino bring his electric live show to iconic late night venue XOYO – Tickets/More Info
