Leeds, UK based, groove-driven psych rock band The Venus Children announce their debut single ‘Rollercoaster’ set for release on Friday 8th of May. The track is taken from their forthcoming debut album, due summer 2026.

Recorded with producer James Atkinson at ‘The Stationhouse’ Studios — known for work with Hi Vis, F**ked Up, Higher Power and Chubby And The Gang — ‘Rollercoaster’ captures the band’s core sound: warping guitars, driving rhythm sections and expansive soundscapes with fluid movement between shifting time signatures while locking into a deep groove.

‘Rollercoaster’ throws you headfirst into a blaze of passion, capturing the dizzying rush of romantic desire. It’s a wild, intoxicating ride through the thrill of attraction and the peril of exposing oneself, anchored by the hypnotic, ritualistic chant of “set me alight and cover me in oil”. By the end, surrender isn’t just inevitable — it’s irresistible.

Birthed in Leeds, UK, the descendants of Venus create dense, bass-driven, psychedelic noise rock built on thick grooves, with swirling, warping guitars and celestial hooks.
They return to 360 Club at Lending Room on 22nd May for a headline show to celebrate the release of ‘Rollercoaster’.

The band have been building a presence across the Leeds live circuit, performing at venues including Oporto and Royal Park Cellars, alongside a well-received headline show at Lending Room.
