Sir Tom Jones, one of the biggest names in the music business, is set to return to York Racecourse to entertain the crowds on Music Showcase Friday evening, 27 July.

After more than fifty years of success, his live performances still enthral huge crowds, and his most recent albums. Long Lost Suitcase and Spirit in the Room received rave reviews.

Internationally loved for hits such as Delilah, Kiss & What’s New Pussycat, he remains an artist with a true rhythm and blues soul.

Recognised by a new generation as a mentor of future talent through his role as a coach on hit TV show, The Voice, Tom returns to the Knavesmire, having sold out the venue in summer 2015.

The line-up for the three Music + Racing dates of 2018 is now complete; with Paloma Faith already confirmed for Saturday 30 June and Boyzone recently confirmed for Saturday 28 July.

Looking back to look forward, the Welsh singing legend said; “The York races crowd were tremendous on my last visit, I’ve always loved outdoor shows and it’s always lovely to be asked back, we’re going to have some fun.”
