Multi Grammy Award-winning artist Tori Kelly will be performing all of the songs from her latest EP, Solitude, live for the first time ever on virtual reality platform MelodyVR, as part of its acclaimed Live from LA series. Broadcasting on August 19th at 6pm PT PT/9pm ET/2am + 1 day BST, fans will be able to watch this exclusive show for free via the MelodyVR app on smartphones and VR headsets.

The remarkable Solitude was self-recorded at Tori’s home during quarantine, with a fresh musical outlook inspired by both the 90s R&B that she grew up with and her early days as an aspiring singer-songwriter. A global audience will tune in to its virtual unveiling on MelodyVR, with interactive features including the choice of viewing positions of the celebrated singer in action at MelodyVR’s state-of-the-art Los Angeles studio space.

Tori Kelly explains: “I can’t wait to perform Solitude for you all from the MelodyVR studio, Live from LA. I recorded these new songs in my home studio during quarantine, so it’s extra special to be able to perform them live for the first time in such an intimate setting —  it’s just you, me and my guitar.”

MelodyVR’s ongoing Live from LA series was created to provide music lovers with incredible up-close, 360° sets from their favorite artists, while maintaining the highest levels of safety for both performers and crew. Acts featured so far include John Legend, Cypress Hill, Katelyn Tarver, Zella Day, JoJo, Nelly and Kesha, with more to be announced. After Live from LA’s launch, MelodyVR produced Wireless Connect, a virtual version of London’s long-running Wireless Festival in partnership with Festival Republic. With 360° VR performances from 70 artists out of London and L.A., the critically acclaimed event saw an audience spanning 34 countries. And MelodyVR and Live Nation UK recently announced Live From O2 Academy Brixton, a virtual concert series which will be broadcast around the world from the iconic London venue.
