Introducing pop/rock outfit wavebye hailing from Southampton, who have just released their debut single. The four-piece have dropped their track and accompanying music video for sugar via AWAL, today. The single showcases the band’s stellar musicianship, blending jangly guitars and soaring harmonies. It’s about realising how little someone can love you, despite assuring you that they do wholeheartedly. Stream/download sugar here, and watch the video here.

Formerly known as Faux, the band are back with brand new music under their new moniker and are excited for what lies in store. Frontman Finlay Male has said of the fresh start, “We started the band Faux as a group of friends writing emo/pop-rock with the simple goal of having fun while feeling creatively content. Our years together formed a strong passion and belief in our ability to create a unique sound that we feel was no longer fairly represented by Faux and our name should evolve with us.”

wavebye have also just announced their debut London show, as a band. They are to support alt/rockers Chapter & Verse at Thousand Island, on 16th May. Just ahead of this, they will play Teddy Rocks Festival on 5th May, alongside Indoor Pets, Fatherson and lots more. wavebye are also set to play The Pipeline in Brighton on 8th June, Salisbury’s Feel Good Social Takeover on 22nd June and Burn It Down Festival in Torquay on 31st August. See details for tickets here.

wavebye have a lot more up their sleeve for 2019, so watch this space for more exciting news coming soon…
