With her honest, tuneful folk-pop songs and bright, youthful charm, West Sussex native Maisie Peters has amassed a widespread and devoted YouTube following since first uploading recordings in the mid-2010s. She released her debut single, ‘Place We Were Made’, in 2017 when she was 17 years old

“We’ve had plenty of fans making contact asking us to play all over Europe so it’s great to finally be able to do so,” says singer Aaron Starkie. “We had a great response at a few European festivals last year (Reeperbahn, Kaltern pop and Haldern pop) and think there will be a lot of people out there that would be into us.”
Following last year’s momentous 50th anniversary celebrations, The Isle of Wight Festival today announces the first artists for the 2019 event, which kicks off the British festival season on 13th – 16th June.
“The reason his words rang so true with me,” says Burrows, “is that the darkness of life is so important to filter, and take on board, and put back out – but these songs all have a trim of colour and an optimistic flare.”
Trevor Horn has shared Dancing In The Dark, his collaboration with Gabrielle Aplin. Taken from his upcoming album, Trevor Horn Reimagines the 80s, the track is the fourth to be released from the record.
“There’s a definite idea about the world being no longer habitable in the way that it was,” says Yannis. “A kind of perilousness lack of predictability and a feeling of being overwhelmed by the magnitudes of the problems we face. What’s the response? And what’s the purpose of any response that one individual can have?”
