Following two successful seasons, the ‘Comedians Playing FPL’ podcast is rebranding to its new incarnation – ‘Down the Dog’.

Having spent two years obsessively playing FPL for your listening pleasure, comedians Jon Richardson (8 out of 10 Cats, Meet the Richardsons) and Matt Forde (Spitting Image, Have I Got News For You, other more successful podcasts) want their lives back. They’re ditching the FPL app, and getting down to Jon’s pub, ‘The Dog & Bastard’ where each week they’ll be recording their sports comedy podcast.

Expect all the same brilliant content – topical football stories, hilarious anecdotes from their everyday lives, brilliant guests and weird ill thought-out features such as: ‘Onana, What’s My Name,’ ‘Animal, Weapon, Location,’ ‘Fordy’s Hyperbole,’ ‘Old Jon’ & ‘My Dead Relative’. ’It’s the same podcast you’ve grown to know and love, but this time with 90% less moaning about FPL.

The comedians FPL league and listener league will still run, with prizes and shout outs still up for grabs and Jon and Matt will still be joined by comedic friends and footballers such as Josh Widdicombe, Rob Beckett, Richard Osman, Romesh Ranganathan, Josh Widdicombe, Russell Howard, Suggs, Ardal O’Hanlan, Joe Wilkinson, Alex Brooker, Tom Davis, Maisie Adam, Ivo Graham, Laura Smyth, Iain Stirling, Jason Manford, Nathan Caton and Man v Food’s Adam Richman

The podcast, made by Feral Television and Keep It Light (Parenting Hell) launches August 4th and is available on all podcasting platforms.

Join best friends Jon Richardson and Matt Forde this football season as they head ‘Down the Dog’.
