Although Las Vegas is primarily known for its glitzy casinos, celebrity slots and world class poker tournaments, the bright lights of the Las Vegas Strip attract the world’s greatest artists and shows. Every night there are some of the most sensational productions, discover some of them in this article!

For a magical evening: David Copperfield

Absolutely spectacular, this magic show on the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino’s magnificent stage features Houdini’s heir, David Copperfield, famous for crossing the Great Wall of China. You’ll see the illusionist shrink himself to fit into a small box, cut a woman in half and make objects disappear. As mesmerizing as he is masterful, Copperfield delivers an intimate show evoking his father and his childhood.

Blue Man Group

With their drums, skits and rock music, these three bald, blue-skinned men have been electrifying audiences for the past 30 years. On their drums, they perform a series of explosive compositions accompanied by rhythmic strobe lights, explosions of multicoloured confetti and elaborate sound effects. While the Blue Man Group members don’t speak on stage, their expressive faces and props are more than enough to get the jokes. In this high-energy show, the group subtly pokes fun at technology, and more overtly at latecomers who try to go unnoticed

A tribute to Michael Jackson by Cirque du Soleil

You’ll never see a Michael Jackson impersonator in this Cirque du Soleil tribute to the King of Pop, but you’ll definitely feel his presence as kinetic dancers perform his famous moonwalk, pirouettes and anti-gravity tilt. Mashups of cult hits like “Billie Jean” and “Thriller” and impressive Cirque acrobatics accompany four main characters on their journey to the Wizard of Oz-like ranch in Neverland. Despite the villain-paparazzi and tabloid-covered walls, the quartet indulges in the artist’s nostalgia along the way, inheriting his agility, courage, playfulness and heart. In Mandalay Bay’s intimate theatre, you’ll feel a little closer to this global pop star.

Fun and wacky: Zombie Burlesque

In this post-apocalyptic thriller that mixes burlesque and comedy sketches, zombies invite men and women to their nightclub, Club Z, as a gesture of goodwill. What follows is an amusing variety show, featuring undead jokes, sexy costumes, human-zombie flirtations and maybe even love. The stage includes a zombie-human game show, an undead contortionist and juggler, a strip-tease and dancing to Billie Holliday, Björk and the Cranberries (the hit “Zombie”, of course). The undead will be sure to call out to the audience in the front rows and may even hand out Jell-O shots!
