Cheshire Fest 2019 is excited to announce the highly anticipated programme for the Kids Stage and Play Park. From Mary Poppins, Iron Man and dinosaurs, to The Voice Kids, Bollywood dance and plenty of interactive activities – there really will be something to keep the youngsters entertained throughout the weekend.

The return of the hugely popular two-day family event was announced recently, and this year’s Summer event promises to be bigger and better than ever before.

Cheshire Fest 2019 takes place at Manchester Rugby Club in Cheadle Hulme on Saturday 1 June and Sunday 2 June 2019. Day tickets and weekend passes are on sale now.

The event will be packed with fun for young festivalgoers as they sing, dance, and play all weekend at Cheshire Fest 2019.

Little ones will want to come dressed as their favourite characters as they watch Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin and Mary Poppins come to life on www. Each show will feature all the magic of Disney and the classic songs that even parents will want to sing along to. Youngsters also have the opportunity to meet and greet all the stars after the performances. For kids that prefer capes and comic books, there will be a full cast of Superheroes bringing super-powered action to Cheshire Fest. The amazing Iron Man, massive green Hulk, the caped crusader himself – Batman – and lots more. Now there’s a selfie opportunity!

An inspiration to kids and adults alike, Junior Frood will be treating Saturday’s crowd to the amazing dance moves that led to him performing on stage with pop icon Justin Bieber. The 2017 winner of the Diana Award for Courageous Citizen surely is not one to be missed.

Be amazed at the colour and excitement of a Bollywood dance performance and enjoy a routine from our friends at Aimz Bolly Dance. Lead by the award-winning Ami Jhaveri, these talented dancers will have the audience joining in to dance Bollywood style. This year’s Kids Stage boasts four incredibly talented young singers from the hit ITV show, The Voice Kids – your chance to see the stars of tomorrow perform live in Cheshire.

The youngest Jazz and Blues artist in the UK, Astrid has already made a name for herself as a singing starlet. Warrington-based Jennifer King will also take the stage and show Cheshire Fest exactly why she made it to the semi-finals last year. Fellow semi-finalist, Mandy Scarlett has performed at venues all around the country at just 11-years-old and will delight audiences of all ages. And don’t miss multi-talented Lola from Team Danny who is sure to wow the crowds.

There is no shortage of amazing young performers as Isaac Lancel Watkinson and Girl Talk perform on Sunday. Super talented Isaac plays a mean guitar and has a voice which has garnered recognition in his ever-growing list of performances. Girl Talk are back by popular demand after their fab performance of 2017. These are four bubbly and energetic girls who can sing, rap, and dance.

Festivalgoers may need to check they’ve not arrived in Jurassic Park when they come face-to-face with a Giant T-Rex. This incredible attraction is an immersive action experience bringing prehistoric creatures to the grounds of the festival. Go hi-tech and walk in the boots of a wild west sheriff or become a famous rock star thanks to VRyourself. The geeks at VRyourself will be transporting children and adults to another world where anything is possible at the virtual reality tent.

The Craft Tent will offer kids a chance to learn how to create everything from beautiful sand art to slime.

Kids are invited to join Professor Bunsen as he presents his Fun Science School & Slime workshops. It’s not all slime – the mad scientist will be presenting science experiments that will have children and adults alike marvelling at the wonders of science.

SandArt NW will be conducting picture workshops to entertain and inspire youngsters of all ages. These workshops will encourage and inspire imagination. Youngsters can even take their artwork home for free!

The Play Park is the perfect place for festival goers with energy to burn! Crazy inflatables and bonkers Bouncy World fun will have them entertained for hours.

The silent disco is also back by popular demand! Shush will have everyone dancing to music as they listen on wireless headphones. Adults can jam to Dre or dance to Drake as the kids do the familiar moves of Baby Shark – always a real spectacle to let your hair down and enjoy as a family.

The Bring the Fire Project will be treating audiences to a fantastic fire dancing finale to close the Kids Stage. Bring the Fire Project teaches circus skills workshops focusing on fire and light dancing, poi, juggling and more.
