New music weekend and we have 10 great international new releases out now.

1. Marco Parisi – ‘Symbols’

Classically trained Italian musician Marco Parisi releases his beautiful new single ‘Symbols’, the latest offering from his forthcoming debut solo record “Untitled”. Due out on November 19 via Platoon, the ambient album is the first of its kind, having been recorded entirely using a Seaboard instrument. A Seaboard is an innovative type of keyboard-style MIDI controller that allows users to achieve the same level of expression on an electronic instrument as they might on an acoustic instrument.

‘Symbols’ marks the third single to be released from the project so far, having been preceded by the tracks ‘Lyra‘ and ‘Flying to America‘ earlier this summer.

Speaking about ‘Symbols’, Marco says:

“With ‘Symbols’ I wanted to make a record I could get lost in, a piece of music I can use to meditate or even simply just listen to when I feel the need to ‘reset’ for 10 minutes. It’s a very simple one – 3 chords only (that was one of the restrictions I set myself) – but at the same time full of different earthy textures and dynamics.”

2. Nana Razaia – ‘It’s Already Yours’

Rising singer, songwriter and producer Nana Razaia has unveiled her brand-new single, “It’s Already Yours”, which is accompanied by a colourful and vibrant music video directed by Reko. The single is taken from Nana’s newly released EP, Como Água. Hailing from Brockton, Massachusetts, and now based in LA, the independent artist already made a huge impression when she arrived on the scene back in 2018 with debut single “Spill” and has now elevated her sound to even greater heights with this latest release.

Having had a keen interest in music since her childhood, Nana showcases her range of talent on “It’s Already Yours”, with the track highlighting her silky vocals, clever songwriting and insanely addictive melodies. “If you want me, you know where to find me – I’m always running through your head”, she playfully sings on the catchy hook, which will easily be fixed in everyone’s head after one listen.

Speaking about the new release, Nana says, “Interestingly enough, ‘It’s Already Yours’ was the last song to make the cut for the EP, and it ties the whole project together so well. How it came about felt almost seamless; a couple of my homies started producing the track before I even stepped foot in the studio, and the lyrics came almost instantly. There wasn’t really much of a science when it came to the songwriting – I just wanted it to stick. The vocal processing and mixing were of my efforts after a couple of late nights. The whole process was so unplanned. I’m just glad I waited for it.”

3. Sam Fischer – ‘Hopeless Romantic’

Following the release of his duet with Demi Lovato on ‘What Other People Say’, hit single ‘This City’ and recent fan track ‘Simple’, Sam Fischer has shared his emotional and uplifting new single Hopeless Romantic, available now through RCA Records.

In true Sam style, Hopeless Romantic wears its heart on its sleeve and discusses the struggles Sam has faced as an artist and romanticizes what every-day life should be. Whilst it is lyrically deep and emotional, musically it is a melodic and uplifting pop song that builds to a catchy and bold chorus. Sam says;

“There have been times over the past 2 years where I really felt like I’d never get to do the things I’d always dreamed about doing as an artist. With every virtual performance that ended with a deep silence from my furniture, it just started making me really sad, and at the same time guilty, because I wasn’t appreciating what I have at all. I was actively refusing to accept the reality and instead romanticizing a version of life that just simply didn’t exist. That’s really what Hopeless Romantic is about. Though I will say, having just come off of my first headline tour, where I got to meet my fans for the first time, who are the people who give me this life, I’m in a much better place.”

5. Eric Nam – ‘I Don’t Know You Anymore’

Global Korean-American singer-songwriter Eric Nam returns today with his personal new single “I Don’t Know You Anymore” available now on all digital streaming platforms via The Orchard.
The track is accompanied by an official video directed by Scott Lazer as well as a forthcoming live acoustic video shot exclusively on the iPhone 13. Produced by frequent collaborator and GRAMMY Award-nominated Rabitt, the earworm marks the lead single off Nam’s highly anticipated upcoming all-English sophomore album There And Back Again due out early 2022.
Speaking on the inspiration behind his new single, Eric shares, “Don’t we all know someone that we wish we didn’t know? Out of pain or even just embarrassment…? ‘I Don’t Know You Anymore’ (IDKYA) was written when I was sick and tired of a few people in my life. The relationships felt toxic and I wanted to move on from them. This song is the culmination of those emotions and of that dark period when I was processing my friendships and relationships. It’s a song about being done and moving on with the mindset that these people no longer exist in your world. Hello invisible person. I don’t know you anymore.”

6. Ryan LeVine – ‘I Miss The War’

Ryan LeVine shares his new single and music video, “I Miss The War,” via BMG. This is the latest offering from his upcoming debut EP, Good Things To Remember, out November 19.

“’I Miss The War’ feels like a confession,” Ryan shares about the emotive new track. “It admits, almost shamefully, how much power toxic relationships can have over you, even when you think you’ve moved on from them.”

The new single arrives on the heels of the previously released tracks “Signs” and “You Don’t Hold The Cards Anymore.” Praising “Signs,” Grimy Goods wrote, “Hot new artist alert…Out of the song’s slowly trodding strums and drums emerges a crescendo of blisteringly woeful riffs that reaches the height of LeVine’s lucidly broken heart.” Glide Magazine said that Ryan “brings a tenaciously soulful approach to folk and root music,” and “showers us with his emotive vocals that spawn the low key experimental mood swings of The National up through Hozier.”

7. Steve Conte – ‘Flying’

New York City guitarist, singer and songwriter Steve Conte has released “Flying,” the next single off his first solo album in five years, the attitude-infused Bronx Cheer, releasing Friday, November 5 on Wicked Cool Records.

Steve says, “This one goes back to 1994 when I was working on a band that was never to be with Brynn Arens of Flipp. We jammed on this in my rehearsal studio very organically and I came up with the lyrics later. I did a few demos of it over the years and it never left my consciousness. I always knew it was a winner, and when I played it to filmmaker Peter Perenyi, he fell in love with it and was dying to make an epic video for it…which he has done now! It’s about how in the face of adversity, disappointment and trauma, a person of strong will can keep going for their dreams. Of course, in my case, it could just be that I’m stubborn as hell and can’t do anything else!”

9. Julian Lamadrid – ‘Teenager’

Mexican singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Julian Lamadrid debuts his new single, “Teenager,” out on Arista Records. Arriving on the heels of recent singles like “15 Minutes” and “One More Trip,” “Teenager” is a glistening indie-pop track that reflects on the transitional period between childhood and adulthood.

There are moments in life that signify turning points and pivotal changes that can alter the view of oneself, the world, or even the person you thought you loved,” says Julian. “‘Teenager’ is the reflections of being blindsided by a reality that is veiled by innocent eyes. Adolescence brings heartbreak, growing brings pain, but by riding the wave, you are able to adjust.”

The accompanying music video was directed by Julian and stars his sister, Ximena Lamadrid. To create the video, the siblings returned to their hometown of Valle de Bravo in Mexico and turned to nature for inspiration. “It’s a delicate black & white film. It’s an ode to life’s beauty and how returning to something so pure in a time of heartbreak can bring the most rewarding of reflections,” Julian explains.

10. Alok, John Legend – ‘In My Mind’ (Joel Corry Remix)

As a stellar supernova within dance music and pop with billions of streams to his name, Brazilian star ALOK has trodden his path with collaborations and remixes alongside huge, applauded industry names. Speaking on the release, Joel said: “I have been a big fan of Alok for many years. I love the fresh and unique sound he brought to Dance music. ‘In My Mind’ is another great production from Alok with a huge vocal from John Legend. I am excited to put my spin on this awesome collaboration!”
