Amanda Holden is releasing her debut album, Songs From My Heart, next month. The record, out 2nd October, is collection of celebrated musical theatre numbers that showcase her impeccable vocal talents. Each song has won a place in Amanda’s heart over the years. Including the first single, ‘With You’ from Ghost, out September 4, plus a duet with Sheridan Smith – ‘I Know Him So Well’ (Chess).

It’s also a chance for Amanda to reflect on all the ups and downs of being a mum – with many of the tracks connecting to her own experiences. Family has always been at the heart of Amanda’s music; the idea to create an album came about by chance after Amanda and her daughters recorded Tightrope (from The Greatest Showman) for her husband, Chris, to mark their 10th wedding anniversary in 2018.

On her debut album, Amanda says;

People think they know who I am because they see me being loud and outrageous on the television or radio. That is a part of me but really I’m all about my family. This album is all the songs I’ve loved in my life, sung for the people who mean the most to me. It’s a very emotional album that everyone can relate to.

I had a tape recorder as a little girl and would sing into it dreaming of this moment. There is a story behind every song on the album, celebrating life, love and loss – the darkest and happiest moments in my life so far. It is literally my heart laid bare.

The album is packed with beloved favourites we all know and love. Classic tracks such as ‘I Dreamed A Dream’ (Les Miserables), ‘Not While I’m Around’ (Sweeney Todd), ‘Don’t Cry For Me Argentina’ (Evita). The first glimpse of Amanda’s music arrived in May this year, with her debut single ‘Over the Rainbow’ reaching #2 in the download charts – while also hitting #1 on the iTunes chart. The song helped to raise vital funds during the Covid-19 crisis, with all proceeds being donated to NHS Charities Together.

Songs From My Heart is due for release on 2nd October and is available for pre-order from 4th Sep. Amanda Holden will also be performing live on Britain’s Got Talent on 3rd
