‘Call When You Can’ is about understanding the sacrifices that accompany a long distance relationship, with aron! singing “We’ve got a busy month ahead/ We ’ll miss a couple now and then/ Like the sun that shines away/ When clouds conceal the day/I’ll always understand.” It’s an irresistible blend of charming guitar melodies that wind around aron!’s timeless lyrics, underscoring the conditions we accept to maintain love that matters.

aron!’s debut album Too Close For Running, due out September 18 on Verve Records, was announced last month, in tandem with ‘Not For A Lack of Trying,’ a breezy, romantic pop tune inflected with his signature cozy sound.

Prior to ‘Shiny Stockings,’ aron! Shared ‘Macramé,’ a collaboration with indie-pop and jazz artist Mei Semones, fuses indie rock sound with jazz-inflected guitar work to capture the spark and excitement of a new relationship.

Born and raised in Charlotte, NC, aron!’s mom and dad introduced him to rock icons like Pearl Jam and Led Zeppelin, and at eight-years-old he enrolled in guitar lessons at a local music school. aron! studied classical composition at University of North Carolina School of the Arts, developing an appreciation for Chopin, Ravel, and Bach. During COVID, he dedicated himself to learning piano, waking up at 7:30am daily and exploring all that you can do with 88 keys. He earned a full scholarship to the University of Miami and majored in jazz voice and film scoring.
