Bernhoft is back. Norwegian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Jarle Bernhoft, is back with a brand-new single. I Got A Feeling is the latest release from the Grammy nominated soul singer who unveils his latest musical offering to the world after a period of introspection and creative exploration.
After a tumultuous decade that saw Bernhoft step back from the international music scene (after the death of his close friend and manager), just as he was on the cusp of stardom, he now returns with a renewed energy and passion, and importantly new music – a testament to Bernhoft’s artistic growth during his hiatus, promising an exciting new chapter in his musical journey.
Bernhoft said “Some friends were jamming in the studio. Then the piano chords you hear at the very top of ‘I Got A Feeling’ surface, and they set fire to my whole being. The whole song folded itself out like a glossy poster in front of me, and I turned 16 again with a healthy rush of sizzle running through me.
The lyrics are all in this vein. As the singer, I’m a young dude belting out my first feeling of spring with all cylinders firing in perfect sync. There is absolutely no trace of pessimism here – it aims to do nothing but please. Dance with me!”
I Got A Feeling showcases Bernhoft’s evolution as an artist whilst remaining true to the soulful essence that has defined his solo career. The track effortlessly weaves together heartfelt lyrics, infectious melodies, and Bernhoft’s signature soul-stirring vocals resulting in a musical experience to thrill fans – new and old.
The single is the first taste of Bernhoft’s long-awaited album for a new era, Avenue Of Loveless Hearts, which will be released on October 6th 2023.
